Premier League player's girlfriend 'sexually attacked by a man posing as her boyfriend while she slept at five star hotel'

Police are investigating an alleged sex attack on a Premier League player's girlfriend after she claimed a man crept into her hotel bedroom while she was asleep. The suspect apparently sneaked into the WAG's room at the £250-a-night Lowry hotel, in Salford, Greater Manchester, while she was in there alone. Police have arrested a 32-year-old hotel worker on suspicion of sexual assault but he was later released on bail while police continue to investigate. The distraught woman is believed to have returned early from a night out in the city while her footballer boyfriend stayed out. The alleged victim thought the person in the room was her partner as he was lying next to her when she woke up the next morning. She only later discovered that someone else must have been in the room when she asked her boyfriend what time he had returned and found it was much later.  As part of their investigation, officers will have seized CCTV footage and electronic records of when people entered the hotel room in Salford using the keycard. Neither the footballer or his girlfriend can be identified for legal reasons. However, the star has represented his country at international level and has played for a number of Premier League clubs, The Sun reported. A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed the alleged sex attack was under investigation. 'Police were called to the Lowry Hotel in Salford following reports a 32-year-old woman had been sexually assaulted. 'A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault. He has been bailed pending further enquiries. Enquiries are ongoing.' The alleged attack has similarities with another case in London where a porter let himself into a celebrity guest's room and raped her as she slept. Soby John, 25,used his position as a porter to get a copy of the electronic key to the victim’s room after seeing her stumbling in the corridor. He was jailed for 10 years for the attack. The Lowry Hotel is a favourite hangout for Premier League footballers and it is often used by away teams when they are playing Manchester United and City. Manchester United star Wayne Rooney paid Helen Wood, 23 and Jennifer Thompson, 21,  £1,200 to sleep with them at the hotel in 2010 while his wife was pregnant. Married former England manager Steve McClaren had an affair with a woman who also had a fling with Sven Goran Eriksson after being introduced to her at the hotel. Father-of-three McClaren, 51, met Saima Ansari at the Lowry - the same hotel where Eriksson was first introduced to her. The hotel was engulfed in a food poisoning investigation when 80 guests fell ill after a fundraising dinner at the hotel in 2011. They reported suffering dizziness and vomiting after eating chicken pate at the charity event.

If Real beat Dortmund and reach Wembley they can SLEEP with my girlfriend! Mario's 'boast' ahead of Champions League decider

Mario Balotelli might get a frosty reception from girlfriend Fanny Neguesha after he reportedly made a bizarre comment about the Belgian model ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund. The former Manchester City striker is apparently so confident Dortmund will qualify for the Champions League final, he is claimed to have said that he would allow the Spanish side’s squad to sleep with his girlfriend if they managed to upset the odds and reach Wembley. In Spanish newspapers AS and Marca, the Italy forward was quoted as saying: ‘If Real Madrid come back in Champions League, I’ll let my girlfriend sleep with them!’ Dortmund ran Real off the park a week ago at the Westfalenstadion, with Robert Lewandowski, Mario Gotze and Marco Reus tearing a flimsy-looking defence apart. Manchester United and Bayern Munich target Lewandowski netted all four goals in the 4-1 victory for Jurgen Klopp’s men. Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored Real’s only goal of the night, missed the Madrid derby clash against Atletico at the weekend and remains a fitness doubt for Tuesday’s encounter at the Santiago Bernabeu. Meanwhile, Balotelli, apart from reportedly making controversial comments about his girlfriend, is lighting up Serie A since leaving Manchester for AC Milan. The 22-year-old has scored 10 times since exiting the Premier League, including a contentious penalty in last night’s victory over Catania. Balotelli has previously spoken about his blossoming relationship with Neguesha. In an exclusive interview with Vanity Fair, the striker said his girlfriend was the 'first woman I feel comfortable with'.

When Arsene Wenger sits down before the start of next  season, he will maintain that the target is to win the Barclays Premier League title.

NEIL ASHTON: Talk of Arsenal title bid is hot air - Wenger's squad needs overhaul He does it every year, only his argument becomes less and less convincing each time Manchester United, Manchester City or Chelsea carry off the trophy. To maintain a serious title challenge, Arsenal’s manager will have to change an awful lot of players. Put the emotional bond between Wenger and most of his recruits to one side and the brutal reality is that this squad cannot compete at the elite level. Wojciech Szczesny, Bacary Sagna, Per Mertesacker, Tomas Rosicky, Mikel Arteta, Lukas Podolski and Aaron Ramsey are all good players. But not good enough to win the Premier League. They were on the pitch for the guard of honour at the Emirates on Sunday, acknowledging United after they won their 13th Premier League title against Aston Villa last Monday. Arsenal are unlikely to walk out to similar acclaim any time soon. The club are eight or nine first-team players short of winning their first Premier League title since the Invincibles crushed the spirits of Chelsea and United in 2004. These days a draw at home to the champions is acceptable for Arsenal, the best they can hope for after years of underachievement. ‘This is a good point for us,’ admitted Arsenal’s goalscorer Theo Walcott as he looked at the 21 points that separate them from the champions. In terms of a top-four spot, Walcott was right: it’s all they ever talk about at the Emirates these days. In the context of their standing in English football, this said it all. At times against United, particularly in a fiercely contested opening  half-hour, there was the zip on the ball and bite in the tackle required of a title-winning team. To last an hour at that level is impressive, but United’s players can keep this tempo going over the course of a nine-month season. In the summer, the top teams — United, City and Chelsea — will all re-arm as they prepare for campaigns at home and abroad. United intend to strengthen, with Borussia Dortmund’s lethal finisher Robert Lewandowski the primary target for Sir Alex Ferguson. Wilfried Zaha will also be at Ferguson’s disposal when he prepares his squad for the start of his 28th season at Old Trafford. Then there will be the effect of a new manager at Chelsea, with the probability that Jose Mourinho will leave Real Madrid and return to Stamford Bridge. Inevitably, the new man will be given money to spend, adding Radamel Falcao and Andre Schurrle to his squad as he prepares to break the Manchester duopoly. All the activity will take place over the summer as the top teams prepare their title challenge. Sadly, for Arsenal, it will all be about another top-four finish.

I’m too sexy for Saudi Arabia: Actor Omar ordered out of country because his good looks would drive women to distraction

Removed from festival in Riyadh
The internet is awash with speculation that this is the man who was kicked out of Saudi Arabia for being too handsome.
Omar Borkan Al Gala, a poet, actor, and photographer from Dubai, is reported to be one of three men removed from a festival in Riyadh earlier this month by religious police in the conservative Islamic kingdom.
The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vices in Saudi – where there are strict rules governing interaction between men and women who aren’t related – had the men deported back to Abu Dhabi in case women should ‘fall for them’.
A report in Arabic newspaper Elaph which said: ‘A festival official said the three Emiratis were taken out on the grounds they are too handsome and that the Commission members feared female visitors could fall for them.’
His identity was revealed by Jezebel who reported that he had been deported back to United Arab Emirates.
Although it has not yet been confirmed that he was one of the men, Al Gala has posted a link to the original news report on his Facebook page, along with statements such as: ‘The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.’

His Facebook page is full of posed photos in which Al Gala looks moodily into the camera – it looks as if he is wearing dark eyeliner.
Several of them feature him posing in a sports car as well as blowing out smoke and looking into the distance thoughtfully.
On his Facebook page, Al Gala has 139,616 likes and about 36,487 talking about him.
The UAE released an official statement indicating that the religious police were concerned about over the unexpected presence of an unnamed female artist in the pavilion at the Jenadrivah Heritage and Culture Festival.
‘Her visit to the UAE stand was a coincidence as it was not included in the programme which we had already provided to the festival’s management,’ the head of the UAE delegation to the festival, said in a statement.
He has not been confirmed as one of the three men, but his made-up appearance and his refraining from confirming that he was one of the trio, suggests he could be taking advantage of the speculation to boost his public profile.
