Abdul Lateef Adeniran, who was beaten by hoodlums, yesterday, disclosed
that the hoodlums that attacked him attempted to molest his wife, while
his crown and other valuables were stolen.
Appearing before the
Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the crisis that sat in Isabo,
Abeokuta, Oba Akanni also lamented that a sum of N1.5 million kept in
his palace as at the time of the incident was stolen by the hoodlums who
burnt down his palace.

to be identified hoodlums beat the monarch and stri*ped him in the area
before his palace was set ablaze during an attack that occurred on
April 15, 2013, following which the state government set up a judicial
commission to look into the crisis and come up with recommendation to
the government.
While giving a graphic detail of how he was
attacked, the monarch said, “I was beaten with charms on that day and I
would have been dead by now if not for the grace of God.”
