OMG!!! Did She Actually said THIS : God Will Place A Curse On You” – Toyin Aimakhu
Since she walked down the aisle with her handsome hubby, the pretty actress has come under criticisms. While some alleged that she's about three years older than her husband, others lambasted her for staging a low-key wedding ceremony as a celeb.
Not happy with all these, the Edo State-born actress has allegedly placed a curse on her critics and begged God to make it come to pass.
She tweeted, 'I don't understand anymore, people will insult us to get married after getting married you will be cursing us that is just a year, if the marriage breaks again you people will be shouting that we arr irresponsible. Anyways anyone who places a curse or say negative words about my home GOD of Abraham,GOD of GOD, ALLAH will place a curse on them and all their lives will bring negative meanings to people".
She added, "Blood runs through our veins and not petrol or diesel, being an actor or actress doesn't mean we don't make mistakes, pleases keep praying for us. I will try my best to keep my head up and be the best wife, role model, actress, friend and mother. No more curses or abuse, we are human and not Holy Spirit".
The actress then rounded up her series of tweets, saying, "I rest my case till another day, for the future. I was never married, this is my first and only and last marriage till I die. I need your prayers to kip me going not curse."
23 Feared Killed, 11 Injured As Twin Explosions Rock Kano
It was learnt that one of the explosions, believed to have been carried out by Islamic sect, Boko Haram, occurred at a drinking joint in Sabon Gari, where most of the non-indigenes reside.
The blasts occurred on Igbo Road, Enugu Road and New Road, opposite Ado Bayero Square.
The first blast was said to have occurred at about 9.12pm near International Hotel, while the second blast followed three minutes later.
Security forces immediately condoned off both sites, which prevented people from moving closer to the places hit by the explosions.
A resident of the area, who spoke to one of our correspondents on the telephone, said there were series of explosions, which had created pandemonium in the commercial area of the state capital.
The resident, who craved anonymity, said the explosions were still ongoing as of 10pm, adding that there had been at least two explosions before the latest one at about 9.30pm.
It was difficult to ascertain the number of casualties of the explosions but Channels TV, in its 10pm news report, said about 20 people had been killed.
AFP reports that "at least four explosions" had occurred in the Sabon Gari neighbourhood on Monday.
"There is confusion all over the place. There were four huge explosions, so huge that they shook the whole area. Everywhere is enveloped in smoke and dust," Chinyere Madu, a fruit vendor, told AFP.
Kola Oyebanji, a resident of the neighbourhood, believed "beer parlours" were the target.
He said, "My house is not far from there. All my windows are shattered."
The cause of the blasts was not immediately clear.
The spokesman for the Joint Task Force, Captain Ikedichi Iweh, confirmed the explosions but refused to give details.
The Commissioner of Police, Kano State, Mr. Musa Daura, who confirmed the incident, claimed that six persons were killed during the blasts while six others were injured.
Boko Haram had claimed responsibility for coordinated suicide blasts at a bus park in Sabon Gari in March that killed about 22 people.
Man Allegedly Beats Wife To Death In Edo State
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that serious quarrel ensued between the couple after one of their sons had allegedly killed a snake in their living room.
The husband was said to have been infuriated by the action which he described as a taboo in the community.
After a week of quarrel, the wife in company of her mother-in-law decided to seek the intervention of a native doctor to know the implication of the son's action.
It was when she returned that the husband accused her of foul-play and subsequently hit the wife on the head with a plank during a fight before the women collapsed and died.
The remains of the deceased, who died on the spot, had been deposited in a morgue in Sabongidda-Ora, headquarters of the council.
The Police Area Commander, David Jimwang, who confirmed the incident, said that the man has been arrested and transferred to the state police command, Benin for further investigation.
Lagosians Are Tired Of ACN-PDP Revealed
Chairman of Lagos state PDP, Mr. Olatunji Shelle, said this while addressing journalists at the state secretariat in Lagos, on Monday.
Shelle said the ACN was a disappointment to the people. He added that the PDP was determined to make a difference in Lagos during the forthcoming 2015 elections, which he described as "a date with history."
The chairman said the people would be looking up to the PDP as an alternative because they had been long tired of the policies the ACN-led government, had been implementing in the state.
He said, "The Lagos PDP would change the tide of electoral performance in 2015, and we are resolute to achieving this goal. Actually, no one should be surprised about this because we have the people looking up to us as a viable alternative.
"The people had consistently said they were tired of the ACN government in the state and we certainly have a date with history in 2015. Opinion poll, as at today, indicates that the ACN government in Lagos State has been a disappointment to the people.
"For a long time now, the ACN government has made life unbearable for Lagosians through obnoxious and anti-people policies, which have pauperised the vast majority of the people.
"We sympathise with the feelings and frustration of the poor citizens of Lagos as they continually suffer trauma and hardship of all sorts under the ACN government in Lagos State."
Collect your certificates before December or face penalty, WAEC tells millions of Nigerians
The West Africa Examination Council, WAEC, has threatened to impose penalties on candidates who failed to collect their certificates on or before December 31.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Director, Public Affairs, Yusuf Ari, on Monday in Lagos.
It stated that millions of certificates of candidates who sat for WAEC examinations since 1960s had long been signed but were not collected by candidates.
"We wish to inform the general public that certificates up to May/June 2012 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), conducted by WAEC have been printed and dispatched to schools for collection by candidates.
"And certificates for external candidates for up to November/December 2012 WASSCE diet, also conducted by the Council have also been printed and are equally awaiting collection by candidates at WAEC offices nationwide.
"The external candidates, especially who wrote the November/December examination diets are advised to go and collect their certificates from all our zonal branches or satellite offices in the states.
"We urge candidates to go to where they sat for the examination because we no longer have enough space to harbour them. Most of these certificates have been lying fallow in our various offices with no one coming forward to collect them.
"Candidates come in trickles for them, only when they have absolute need for them and I think it should not be so. We therefore wish to warn that WAEC will be charging extra fee for the custody of these certificates if the candidates failed to collect them later than December 31," the statement said.

Tonto Dikeh in trouble as movie producers, directors stop giving her roles
Nollywood, is second only to the Indian film industry in number of movies produced each year and it has produced world class stars like Omotola Jalade Ekehinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Olu Jacobs, Pete Edochie, the late Sam Loco Efe, Nkem Owoh and many others.
Dikeh says that after her second movie 'Holy Cross', more movie directors and producers were willing to cast her, and she has appeared in scores of movies ever since.
The actress has received criticism on many a movie she starred in making her a hot cake for producers who want her to be part of their movies due to her logic in script interpretation.
The enchanting young actress still have a lot in store for her and she could achieve whatever she want to achieve in the industry.
Nollywood is just a step in the right direction to become a world renowned. She has the charisma, physics, face and other attributes anyone could think of to become a star. But the crazy incidents of late is not telling good of her image. It could be a strategy to be hyped by the media, but controversies easily kills a celebrity image.
Hitz can exclusively report that there is a current gang up to frustrate the career of actress, Tonto Dikeh, who is also a darling to controversies.
Tonto who hugs, chews and pampers controversy in a very helplessly controversial manner is said to have bitten more than she can chew in recent times following her rude and troublesome behaviour while on set. A certain top movie Director who wouldn't want his name mentioned, was directing a movie on a set at Asaba with Tonto Dikeh playing lead in the movie and ever since he came back to Lagos after the shoot, he has not stopped complaining about how rude and abusive Tonto played out herself all through at the location.
According to him, "Tonto Dikeh is such a rot and lacks every bit of home training, apologies to her parents. 'I tried to control myself in order not to disrupt the set, but I got upset over the kind of insult Tonto, heaped on the makeup artiste on the set. A woman who is old enough to be her mother" 'Are you stupid, don't you know what you are supposed to do? Must I remind you before you'll know you are supposed to make me up'? Those were said to be Tonto's words to the already fuming makeover artiste who was at the verge of throwing back some punch lines at her.
At this point, the director was said to have lashed at Tonto seriously and washed her in, out, left, right and center until the situation was later calmed down by the producer of the movie. This was sequaled by a certain report made available to this medium that due to her controversial lifestyle and appetite for trouble, Tonto's colleagues now isolate themselves from her, as well as some of her very close friends.
Meanwhile a check by this medium has revealed that top movie producers and directors have teamed up to frustrate Tonto Dikeh due to mannerless attitude while on set. According to them, "that little brat, apart from her addictions to marijuana and cigarette, doesn't give a damn about whose ox is gored, she abuses, throw tantrums and fight on set at every slightest provocation and we must make sure she's humiliated. She seem to have gathered to much weight and has hurriedly forgotten those days when she used to go on bended knees for a 'waka pass' role in movies. We'll teach her a lesson'. They vowed.
On the other hand, records have it that the 'Mother Controversy' as Tonto is now widely addresses by colleagues doesn't enjoy the best of relationship with most of her colleagues. Among whom are: Mercy Johnson, her arch rival, Mamma Gee, even though she was credited of introducing her to the industry big time, Genevieve, although the genesis of their disagreement was not stated, Nonso Diobi for rebuking her over abusive comments on Mercy Johnson. Other names given are, Nuella Njubigbo and Monalisa Chinda, all of whom are producers' top demands in movies.
Meanwhile producers and directors, who have worked with her, have described Mercy Johnson as a down to earth person, cheerful and cool-headed to work with. Sources who spoke exclusively to www.myemag.net claim it's the reason MJ as Mercy is famously addressed is of a very high demand in movies in the past few years, especially now that Nollywood is shifting base to Asaba in Delta State, Nigeria.
Mercy Johnson, married to Odianose Okojie, blessed with a beautiful baby, Purity has countless of movies to her credit and has won to herself, too numerous fans within a short period of time.
Gov Fashola Gives Man He Found Naked On The Streets N100,000 (Photo)
Thinking he was a mad man, Fashola ordered his security aides to pick him up for rehabilitation.
The man was taken to the State House, Marina where he was housed for the night.
Then the governor sent for the Special Adviser on Youth and Social Development, Dr. Dolapo Badru to rehabilitate him.
But during examination, Abayomi confessed that he was not a mad man.
It turned out that he had stripped himself in the middle of the night on the road because he wanted to curse the person who stole his cell phone and his money.
PMNews reports Abayomi had visited a herbalist in his quest for revenge against the person who stole his cell phone and money and was instructed to carry out the act in order to curse his enemy, which was why he was naked in the middle of the night.
Mr Badru said:
"After I picked him up from the State House, he said he was not a mad man, but says he drinks and smokes marijuana and that he is an apprentice in a vulcanizing workshop. He said he bought a phone and that somebody stole the phone.
After we investigated for two weeks to know his family, we realised that the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, an arm of the Holy Cross Cathedral, is also interested in rehabilitating him.'
Badru disclosed that the governor released N100,000 to Abayomi to start up his own vulcanizing business as well as bought him a phone and asked the church to monitor his progress.
Abayomi said the governor has really changed his life, saying that if Fashola had not picked him up, he would not have completed his apprenticeship training to become a successful vulcaniser.
Bananas Thrown At Italy’s First Black Minister During Speech
Cecile Kyenge |
Integration minister Cecile Kyenge, who was born in Democratic Republic of Congo, has angered far-right groups with her campaign to make it easier for immigrants to gain Italian citizenship.
Shortly before the incident on Friday, members of the right-wing Forza Nuova group left mannequins covered in fake blood at the site of the rally in Cervia, central Italy, in protest against Kyenge’s proposal to make anyone born on Italian soil a citizen.
“Immigration kills,” was written on leaflets accompanying the dummies – a slogan Forza Nuova has previously used when referring to murders committed by immigrants in Italy.
Although the bananas missed the stage where Kyenge was speaking, she responded to the gesture on Twitter, calling it “sad” and a waste of food, considering the economic crisis.
“The courage and optimism to change things has to come above all from the bottom up to reach the institutions,” she added.
Kyenge has faced regular insults since becoming minister, often from other politicians. Earlier this month a senior parliamentarian in the anti-immigration Northern League party likened her to an orangutan and only apologized after a storm of criticism.

PDP Chair Asked Me For A Range Rover –Fayose
Former governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, in this interview with ALLWELL OKPI, says his suspension from the Peoples Democratic Party in the state is laughable and meaningless
It was in the news that you and some other members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State have been suspended. What exactly is the situation and what led to it?
Nobody can suspend you from a party without the input of your ward. It is the party at the ward level that will suspend an errant member. Later, it will be ratified at the local council and state levels. It will then move from the zone to the national level. So, that suspension is laughable. The chairman has no such capacity. What informed all that is very clear; he wants to do what they call a consensus. He just wants to pick a candidate for the governorship election, which I objected to. He set up a committee that quite clearly represents the interest of a particular aspirant. And this committee he set up does not derive its power from the constitution of the party. The chairman has neither a fiat nor a directive from the National Working Committee of the party to do so. The powers to decide on the primaries of governorship aspirant are initiated from the national leadership, according to our constitution. He asked every aspirant to pay a non-refundable deposit of N2m and issued them receipts. He gave me a form EKPDP/Gov/2014 Serial number 002, which means I was the second person to pay. You cannot tell somebody to pay a non-refundable deposit and still be the person to choose who becomes the candidate. If you were asked to bid for a job and you obtain a form and pay a non-refundable amount of money, is it the people that put forth the form that will equally determine who wins the tender? No. It must be done through a transparent process in accordance with the guidelines stated before the fees were paid. There must be due process as allowed by the constitution. My suspension is laughable and meaningless. It is like somebody taking his own heart out of his body or stopping his heart from pumping. I’m the engine room of PDP in Ekiti State. Time will tell. Our priority is that the party should win elections.
Are you accusing the PDP chairman of trying to impose a candidate for the election?
There was an interview granted by the PDP chairman in SUNDAY PUNCH of July 14, 2013, where he accused the Action Congress of Nigeria of endorsing (Governor Kayode) Fayemi and the title was ‘ACN endorsement of Fayemi despotic – PDP chairman.’ The heading of the Crossfire read: Ekiti State Chairman of the PDP, Mr. Makanjuola Ogundipe, in this interview, says it is undemocratic and unconstitutional for the Action Congress of Nigeria to adopt Kayode Fayemi for another term without testing his popularity at the primary.’ He said again, ‘The action is not only despotic; it is also criminal, crude, uncivilised and unconstitutional. Of course, you can’t expect anything better than that from ACN. They are not used to conducting primary elections; there is no internal democracy in their party, they run it like a cult.’ Can’t we now conclude that the chairman is doing exactly what he accused ACN of doing?
The same chairman emerged in the PDP congress of March 2012, through a democratic process. My position is that you can’t probate and reprobate at the same time. He promised the people in the South Senatorial District that he would zone it (governorship slot) to them. He promised another set of people that he was setting up the committee because of them. He is using divide and rule. I made it clear that I would not appear before such a panel because it does not take its emergence from the constitution of the party. Seven or eight members of the working committee in the state wrote and rejected the composition of the consensus committee. They signed to reject it. They said the committee was not supposed to be because it did not comply with the constitution of the party. And at different times, the party members in all the 16 local government areas in the state have resisted what the chairman is doing. Within themselves, they had issues; some accused him of collecting money from an aspirant. He had said if I could buy him 2013 Range Rover, then I could rest assured that I would get the ticket. I’m the one that brought all of them into the executive. So, I don’t understand why he should start giving conditions and asking for such money. I told him point blank that I can’t grant his request.
Some reports said you and others were suspended because of the roles you played in the invasion of the party’s secretariat by hoodlums. How true is that?
It is regrettable. How would a former governor come to the secretariat to do that? Have the police invited me for questioning? They did not see me there. If you want to accuse people, you must have evidence.
Is the national leadership of the PDP involved in this?
Ogundipe led some elders and members of the committee that he set up to the National Working Committee and the National Chairman, Bamanga Tukur, said they would look at the complaints and make their findings public later. This shows that the NWC was being cautious by telling him that ‘we have heard you, we will find out and tell you our findings.’ Automatically, they don’t want to take side and they don’t want to listen to one side without talking with the other side. The NWC said it would make its findings public after thorough investigations. Rather than wait, Ogundipe jumped the gun to suspend Fayose. I don’t know what he is up to but I know he does not have the capacity to suspend me.
Last year, you said the leadership of the PDP was in support of your aspiration to contest the governorship election in Ekiti State. Doesn’t this suspension imply that things have changed?
Nothing has changed. Everybody can’t support you. The party will go through a process of primary election. It has been demonstrated in Anambra State that there will be primary election. Ekiti will not be an exception. The primary election is going to be under the supervision of the NWC.
This shows that there is disunity in Ekiti PDP. Are you still confident that PDP can win the governorship election, which is about 11 months away?
There is disunity is every party. Opeyemi Bamidele and Kayode Fayemi are on in their own party (ACN). It is normal. Conflict resolution is about party building. The same people fighting you today might be your best friends tomorrow. Twenty-four hours is a long time in politics. Right now, we should concern ourselves with the internal issues of our party. Fayemi is out of the issue, as we speak. The issue now is the PDP’s internal affairs and how its candidates will emerge.
Were you officially notified about the suspension?
Nobody has communicated me. I heard it in the news like you heard. The chairman went overboard. I term that as politics and I’m not bothered about it. I’ve been in this game for a while. I contested elections in worse terrains than this in 2003. So, it’s not a big deal at all.

Nigerians Among 31 Migrants Drowned While Crossing To Italy
Thirty one migrants, including nine women, drowned off the coast of Libya during an attempted crossing to Italy according to survivors who managed to complete the journey, Italian media reported Sunday.
A dinghy carrying 53 migrants capsized on Friday evening, and witnesses said 31 of those who had been thrown off it drowned in the accident.
The twenty two survivors, who come from Nigeria, Gambia, Benin and Senegal, said the dinghy had capsized after three days at sea. They were rescued by a passing merchant ship and taken to Lampedusa island, the reports said.
As the number of boat immigrants attempting the crossing soars in the good weather, rescuers saved another 450 people trying to reach Italy on Friday and Saturday, increasing tensions at the already crowded refugee centre on the island.
Another 92 migrants including 16 women were rescued Sunday morning in the Strait of Sicily after their boat got into difficulty.
Since 1999, more than 200,000 people have arrived on Lampedusa which is closer to North Africa than Italy making it, along with the Greece-Turkey border, one of the biggest gateways for undocumented migrants and refugees into the European Union.
In nearby Malta, 112 migrants were saved from their drifting dinghy overnight Saturday in a 13 hour operation during which eight of those rescued were airlifted to hospital by helicopter for urgent medical attention.
That group which included 20 women and four children was suffering from exhaustion, dehydration and sun stroke, a Maltese army spokesman told AFP.
The latest arrivals bring the number of migrants to land on Malta in July to 880 an all time record for a month while 1,200 people in total have landed on the island so far this year.

Chidi Lloyd slapped, cuffed, blindfolded & taken to unknown location, lawyer claims
Ebete told Nigerian Telegraph that he wants the public to be watchful so that what happened in the case of the late Moshood Kashimawo Abiola did not repeat itself.
“In Abuja, they told us they were transporting him to Port Harcourt to charge him for conspiracy and didn’t say more than that. When we got to Port Harcourt, there were more than five hundred policemen waiting to escort him to the command office. From there, he was moved to the Police officers’ mess and handcuffed like a common criminal. Now I do not know where he is,” Ebete said.
Eyewitnesses claim that Lloyd was blindfolded and handcuffed as he arrived at the Rivers State Police Command on Friday.
Meanwhile, the application by Lloyd’s legal representative, Belu-Olisa Mofor, praying the court to grant his client bail has been stalled with the Judge, Justice Esor Teetito adjourning further hearing on the application till August 6, 2013.
Lloyd has been detained by the Force Headquarters of the Nigeria Police since he reported in on Tuesday, and was brought to Port Harcourt, where he is expected to be taken to court.
The leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly was part of a fracas in the Rivers State House of Assembly on July 9. He was seen in a video, chasing a fellow law maker, Michael Chinda and assaulting him with the mace of the house.
Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, Angela Agabe declined to comment on the matter saying she could not speak unless directed by those in higher authority.
