Mexico hold Feisty Eagles
The Super Eagles of Nigeria early Saturday were held to a 2-2 draw by the Tri Colores of Mexico in an international friendly match played at the Home Depot Arena in Houston, Texas USA.
The Mexicans drew the first blood through Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, however the Eagles drew level courtesy of a Brown Ideye's penalty while John Ogu swept in the second for the African champions minutes after the first goal.
The second half however was an all Mexican affair as the Super Eagles failed to capitalize on their numerical and superior goal advantage. The Central Americans were able to restore parity once again through Hernandez who scored his second goal of the match after a lapse of concentration from the Eagles defence line.
Both teams were using the match to prepare for the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil and World Cup qualifiers
